Bloomsburg Falls to Shippensburg in Men's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG -- The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team fell to Shippensburg University 3-2 on Wednesday night in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game.

Twenty minutes into the first half, Tom Kovack (Croydon/Conwell-Egan Catholic) scored the Huskies lone goal off an assist from Mike Siravo (Malvern/Great Valley). Shippensburg answered back when Geoff Bloes scored two back-to-back goals six minutes later to take the lead.

The Huskies tied the game at two in the second half with a cross from John Brittingham (Stockton, MD/Pocomoke) to Chris Tomarelli (Oreland/Springfield), who headed into the back of the net.

From then on, the teams played scoreless, until in the second overtime, when Bloes scored his third goal off a steal to win the game.

Jon Keller (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) saved 4 shots for the Huskies while in goal.

The Huskies return to action at Lock Haven on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
